I tried resetting my network settings before things got bad. Now I'm using a direct link between my PC and the modem/router. Issues started about two weeks ago, so I can't play online games or chat on Discord without slow lags and sudden spikes in latency. I've swapped out my modem, router, and cable, run internet speed tests, and tried everything else to find what's wrong but couldn't solve it. What other steps should I take?

Since every computer has a network card built in, what kind is yours? Please check which version of the BIOS it has right now. If you are using an extra NIC stick, tell me that too. What model and make do you have for your router? It might be good to see if there are any software updates waiting on that router.
