I recently assembled my first gaming PC, but I'm facing issues with network performance in games and driver problems.
I assembled my initial gaming setup and expected everything to function smoothly after installation, but it didn’t. Here are the details of my PC configuration:
Processor: Ryzen 7 9800X3D
Graphics Card: Radeon RX 7900XT
Display: Taichi white OC, 24GB VRAM
Mainboard: Gigabyte X870E Aorus Pro Ice (rev 1.1)
Memory: Corsair 32GB (2x 16GB)
Power Supply: Gigabyte Aorus Elite P1000W 80+ Platinum Modular PCIe 5.0 ICE AIO Cooler
Cooling: Lian li Galahad II 360 Trinity sl-inf
Operating System: Windows 11 Pro
Once everything was built and Windows 11 Pro installed, I started with downloading the Gigabyte motherboard software and all related utilities. Then I added Steam and a wallpaper engine for a nice background. The system ran smoothly at maximum settings, barely using CPU resources. I tested Roblox and achieved around 240 FPS at top settings, though network latency was poor.
I encountered several issues:
- My wallpaper engine consumed full CPU power.
- On Roblox, even at lowest settings, I got only 18 FPS.
- Wi-Fi disappeared; I had only an Ethernet connection.
- Downloading drivers repeatedly failed to establish a Wi-Fi connection.
- Network performance was weak (175Mbit/s download, 40Mbit/s upload) with high ping and an orange-glowing port.
Eventually, I had to restart Windows 11 for a clean setup. After re-downloading drivers, I realized the Wi-Fi problem persisted. I’m seeking assistance with installing Wi-Fi drivers and resolving the network connection issues.
