I don't know what to say. If clearing the CMOS didn't bring the BIOS back to default, and you're seeing a not detecting cpu warning, the only advice I can give is to inspect all power connections from the power supply to the motherboard, particularly the 24 pin and 8 (or 4) pin CPU connections.
This is either a PC you built yourself or a pre-made unit. If you built it, consider taking it apart and reassembling it outside the case on a non-conductive surface like cardboard. It's possible something came loose during overclocking.

the original poster mentioned taking it out for an hour, but we're unsure if the power cord was disconnected then. So take the battery and unplug the cord.
