So last night I purchased PC Building Simulator, and I must admit it’s actually quite an enjoyable game. I believe it could serve as a useful resource to spark interest in PC building. Much like Linus's video, it contains some inaccuracies, but overall it comes pretty close. I spent three hours playing it last night, and it’s also an excellent educational tool for demonstrating incompatibilities. You can purchase numerous components beforehand, but you can’t just freely buy items. (Except for things like Ram and Storage, I’ve stocked up on those a few times in the game.) It also feels quite realistic regarding how real-life situations might unfold. I also enjoy the occasional humorous emails I receive, such as one from an older woman trying to access her messages.

I’m not claiming it replaces hands-on experience, but it’s a solid game to give someone a taste of what it’s like. It’s also impressive to see the genuine brands included. I hope they eventually expand the library with more brands, like Rosewill and Powercolor.

I enjoy this game since it allows me to create absurd items that I couldn't buy in reality.

I would play it more often if the graphics reached AAA quality.

It seems you found it frustrating that despite having many creative building ideas, you couldn't successfully restore your existing PC without using the Rosewill case.

The Graphics might benefit from some improvements, though I think it suits the Simulator's visual style well.

The most appealing part of the game is how parts keep expanding for construction. I still recall purchasing it on launch day and being restricted to certain brands like Asus, MSI, Fractal, etc., which greatly limited our options. Nowadays, there are many more choices available—things that have changed over time include:

components added
Aorus components
Colorful parts
Asus ROG monitors
Razer accessories
NZXT support
HyperX components
Watercooling upgrades
I still enjoy playing PC Building Simulator occasionally to explore different builds, and it remains an excellent game.

Is there any update about ongoing work to enhance the game?

They are always present. Recently, they introduced the 3950X along with a few additional components in the latest release. I believe they just incorporated the Linus Test Bench™
