i mentioned purchasing a ram module for my motherboard and wanted to know if the msi b450 gaming plus max can handle 3600mhz memory since my asrock ab350 k4 fatality doesn't.

The processor doesn't meet that requirement and will need an overclock on the memory controller. This doesn't imply the CPU can't reach that speed, although Ryzen 3000 chips can go up to 3200MHz while Ryzen 2000 chips max at 2933MHz. Typically, motherboards support higher speeds than the CPU.
