What operating system are you using? Windows 7, 8, 8.1, or 10? 32-bit or 64-bit? Get the GPU drivers from nvidia.com. Download Direct X from Microsoft Realtek Audio at realtak.com.
Graphics card often causes unexpected FPS drops. I once scored 10 in Terraria using SLI GTX 780 but it fell to 144 after switching to the wrong drivers. Once I updated them with the right ones from nVidia, performance improved significantly.
