The device no longer produces that standard beep sound. It simply begins and stops. I’ve tried reinstalling RAM, switching the SATA cables, but nothing seems to help. No information suggests Seagate drives are failing in this way—could it be a slow decline?

My computers haven't produced any sounds when they power on since the beginning of the millennium. You mention it just begins, so I assume everything functions normally? It seems likely you might have damaged the internal speaker or broken it. Otherwise, I suspect the machine isn't affected by this issue.
