I have the Lenovo 36D9 board and I'm considering whether to replace it entirely or keep it as is. It supports the i7-7700k processor and currently has a 1060 3GB graphics card. I’m thinking about upgrading the GPU and want to know what components fit well, especially with my 16GB RAM. Please let me know what options are available and any important details about this motherboard. Thank you!

The 7700k might be great, but upgrading isn't worth it since it offers very little extra value. It feels like a huge waste of money compared to cheaper options like the $75 new model.

Check the dimensions of your current mini and compare them to the required size for the new board. If they don’t match, you’ll need to purchase a compatible one.

It's smarter to upgrade to a new board and CPU. Also, get a fresh case. The top choice is to discard the old Lenovo unit entirely so you can sell it and fund a clean start. You can remove storage and the GPU without issues. Just keep a working device that runs Windows.
