Hi, I own a 2GB stick of 667 MHz RAM and a 2 GB stick of Corsair Extreme Performance RAM at 800 MHz both DDR2. I need to overclock them since they aren’t delivering the performance required for GTA V. The CPU-Z shows 333 MHz, but Windows only displays 2.5 GHz (stock). My CPU model is Q9300.

667/2 equals 333.5
the ram operates at its standard speed, while the 800 runs a bit slower at 667.

Another concern is whether it's possible to install 8 GB of RAM on this board despite the site stating a maximum of 4 GB. I've noticed many users sharing experiences with 8 GB in boards that typically support only 4 GB or less.

it varies based on the BIOS version. the initial BIOS likely had a 4GB limit. the BIOS might have been updated, or they could have modified it. i'm unsure. i would ensure the BIOS is up to date and try it. that's an old system—what do you think you lose? too much ram will just slow down booting, nothing permanent.

Yes, but I only have $50 available, so using it on something I can't use would be a bit disappointing.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-8GB-2X-4GB-D...SwZd1VYrYw
just an example
there are tons of used ddr2 on ebay cheap. that is the good thing about ddr4 coming out lots of surplus ddr2 available if you buy RAM check the manufacturer for lifetime warranty, makes buying used a little easier.

What is your mobile's specs – if it mentions a limit, that's likely the cap. It seems you're probably using a 32-bit OS and can't exceed around 4GB. I'd save the funds for a new setup or a better motherboard, perhaps a P43 or P45 chipset.

I use a 64-bit Windows 8.1 system but purchased a CADD motherboard since they allow more modifications and it features socket 1156, which is clearly superior to the older 775 version.
