My budget is around $2,500 to $3,000 USD. I already have the monitor, case, and RAM selected. I need assistance with the rest. The PC will be used for gaming and streaming on Twitch, plus some video editing. Please let me know if I’m interrupting.

You can delay building for a short time, as new Nvidia GPUs will arrive within weeks and other components like AMD CPUs and Intel CPUs will be released later this year.

2.5-3k per the remaining components, or with them included? To calculate the total, we'll need to confirm if these parts should be factored in.

Don't set up a PC just yet—the next GPU releases are coming soon, and the existing models don’t quite meet expectations. Nvidia had suggested a release around September 1st.

Everyone keeps saying to hold off until everything is released, right?

Skip creating the list right away; by then everything will have changed with new components and costs. Prepare the list a week or two before you intend to purchase.

It would be terrible to purchase anything right now. Nvidia faces heavy pressure since the Xbox Series X is launching soon, featuring a GPU with rasterization strength between 2080 and 2080 Super, while the PS5 offers a GPU in the 2070 to 2070 Super range. Current prices for consoles sit around $700 and $500, but their GPUs are likely to cost between $500 and $600. Nvidia will probably need to significantly increase its pricing to remain competitive if they hope consumers choose their products over the latest consoles. Additionally, these new GPUs appear extremely power-intensive, possibly requiring more than planned power supplies for your setup.

In that case you'll not only have new Nvidia gpus to choose from, but new AMD ones too. And new AMD processors most likely also.

Focus on gaming by choosing the latest Intel CPU (like i9 10900K), for editing and streaming opt for AMD’s top models (Ryzen 9, not just high threads), plan to upgrade to an RTX 3000, and then select a non-Titan/Quadro card such as the 3090 if leaks aren’t confirmed.
