Hello Everyone so i need some help with deciding and possibly configuring something in my network currently i have a cable ISP Modem > Edgerouter 12p from my edgerouter i have one port that goes to a small switch that is for my work computers to connect, latley ive been having issues with high pings and disconnects from my isp so my solution while i wait for them to fix it is a LTE Failover i have a netgear orbi LTE router and its suppose to have "seamless" failover but theres a good 2-3 min deadzone while it realizes internet droped and connects to LTE, the original idea was to have the netgear orbi connected to the edgerouter and then to the switch so that if net drops only the work computers get cellular backup until net comes back on this would be ideal with such a lag for the failover im debating on if its worth it to put my edgerouter into failover mode and have the orbi on full LTE and let my edgerouter switch on internetloss, this is much faster and more reliable in my testing the main draw back is that then gives every device on my network access to LTE failover and id rather not have all my devices eating my data is it possible to set up something like a vlan? so that if internet drops the edgerouter will automaticly switch to the Orbi but only allow x ports or x device to use that internet? what do you guys think would be a good solution? thank you in advance

Vlans are helpful for this situation, though they may require some effort to configure and set up if you're new to them. You can create a separate vlan on the port connected to your switch for the work computers. Then, use the firewall to restrict access so only that vlan can reach the lte port or interface. I'm sure it could work, but since I'm not an expert, someone else might be able to provide a more detailed configuration.
