I downloaded W10 for the first time and had a few questions. 1) Is it possible to enlarge task bar icons so they’re easier to see? If yes, what steps should I take? 2) How can I extend Windows update settings to keep it running for up to 30 days? 3) Can I adjust the file system layout? I’d like a different day format and want to remove the day display altogether.

Ensure small taskbar buttons are off in Settings -> Personalization -> Taskbar. Alternatively, adjust UI scaling settings. For Windows Pro or Enterprise users, enable automatic update deferral in Settings. On Windows 10 Home 1903 or newer, updates will pause for up to 7 days before resuming, after which you must restart the delay. Modify sorting options by right-clicking an empty area and selecting "Sort by" from the submenu. If maintaining date sorting is necessary, consider using a different download save location (I haven't tested that folder).

Check if you can increase taskbar icons size and adjust display settings.
Extend Windows update duration to 30 days using the updates options.
Modify file system behavior by right-clicking folders, selecting View, and choosing your preferred list view or enabling the View tabs option.

I've tested the top options and it seems I can't adjust the UI icons properly. Scaling affects the entire screen, which isn't ideal for gaming. The date in the file didn't disappear no matter what settings I changed. For the delay, I have a home base, so I'll probably wait every week if needed. Cheers!

It seems the browser was adjusting its size, but it also claims to scale applications. That could impact your games, right?

Yes, it may be influenced by UI scaling when using certain modes like Windowed or Fullscreen Borderless. No, exclusive fullscreen prevents UI scaling from affecting it.
