Hi everyone,
I recently purchased a new computer and spent quite a bit of money on it. I was expecting smooth performance with most games, especially on my GPU, which I assumed would handle most titles well. But I’m still facing issues with simple games like Minecraft. The frames keep dropping, causing noticeable lag. After a few minutes the game runs smoothly again, but then it drops back down to 2-7 FPS. This is clearly not ideal, and I’d appreciate any suggestions to fix it.

I want to be clear this isn’t just about Minecraft—it’s for all the games I usually play. My graphics card is an RADEON RX Vega 56 with 8GB of HBM2 memory. If overclocking becomes necessary, I could really use some guidance since I’m new to that process. I’ve watched a few tutorials but haven’t seen any improvement.

If anyone is interested in joining a Discord chat to help me troubleshoot, it would be a huge relief.
My other components include:
- AMD Ryzen 5 2400G
- ASRock B450M Pro4
- 16GB DDR4 RAM

Obviously you have an issue somewhere. Minecraft on your system should not go in the 2-7 FPS.
You did not talk about your PSU in your post. What is the PSU brand and model?

Hello, thank you for reaching out. Your question about using a 600-watt Corsair power supply is clear. Let me know if you need further assistance.

It doesn't really assist much. The Corsair PSU has both positive and negative aspects. I'll require the model number for that Corsair PSU.

Apologies for that. I'll attach the link I bought, remembering it was a few months ago but I only managed to find time to play games because of this lockdown situation.
