You’ve installed a new version, @Ujee. An update is required. I think you set a password during installation. Note this down—press Ctrl-alt-F2 for the console, Ctrl-Alt-F7 to return to the graphical interface, and then use Ctrl-Alt-F2 to sign in with your username and password. After that, run sudo apt update followed by sudo apt upgrade. It will prompt for the password you created at setup. Once completed, you’re up to date. When ready, go back to the GUI and try watching videos on YouTube or elsewhere. If you still can’t play a video, feel free to return. Welcome to Linux!
