The pc attempted to resolve the issue after a shutdown, trying to fix the drive before it even started. It seemed to work temporarily, but then I needed to enter BIOS to change the boot order, and the hard drive remained faulty. Appreciate the advice, though the only error in Event Viewer is 1796 TPM-WMI.
