Hello, I'm having trouble with my PC and downloading games. My Wi-Fi speed is reported as 70 Mbps, but when I download, it shows much lower speeds—around 635 kbps or 60 Mbps depending on the adapter. I'm using a Wi-Fi card, and anyone can help me figure this out. It would really help if someone could assist. Thank you, Ben

This seems to be an issue with your Wi-Fi connection. Which router model do you have? Is it supporting Wi-Fi 5 or better, especially AC? Are you connected to a standard Wi-Fi band like Wi-Fi 4 or something similar? It appears to be a slower Wi-Fi B signal. Could you improve speeds on other devices and use a wired LAN connection? Also, check if updating the drivers for your Wi-Fi card and router firmware helps.

I'm not sure if I can get access, but your router's SSID is your network name.

I rely on fast.com to verify if the issue lies with my device... Sometimes a sluggish host server is the cause. Opt for an Ethernet connection for faster performance. Even with a wired setup, low speeds persist—restart the router and consider relocating it around the home for improved signal or adding an external antenna.

They want to know the router model. The sync speed you're seeing is quite slow, especially if your device uses the 2.4 GHz ISM band like a single-band N router, which will cause more interference and slower performance along with the reduced sync rate.

The identifier is located at the base of the router. It appears to be a BT specification, likely for a Hub 3 or Hub 5, but we require additional details for confirmation.

You're seeing only a basic SSID broadcast. The actual network name isn't showing the real device model. It seems like a low-end router with very limited speed—probably around 65 to 72 Mbps on 2.4GHz. This setup is quite outdated and offers poor performance. Are you getting Wi-Fi from a shared apartment or similar?
