I intend to purchase a CPU fan and attempt to overclock my i5 2500k to 4.4ghz. I need to find the most suitable fan under $40 for a 1080p gaming setup. The system has its side panel removed, and it runs Windows 7 Pro.

The Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO is a popular choice that many people use within their budget. I own a few of them. However, they need access to the back of the motherboard, which might mean taking the case out if the access hole isn’t large enough for the rear bracket.
