I assembled my entire new PC setup and didn’t notice I had to hide the CPU power wires behind the cable bar. This is my first build, so please forgive me. I’m checking if I can keep the CPU power wires tucked away from the graphics card like this or if the GPU heat might harm them. The wires seem stuck between the GPU and the case, touching the GPU itself. Also, the motherboard power cable appears to be near the GPU as well. Besides looks, does this really matter? I plan to upgrade the CPU and GPU next spring so I could just fix the cables then—if it’s okay. I don’t want to have to dismantle everything unless it’s essential, since I want to enjoy gaming.

It’s concerning when it feels too fixed or inflexible. If the cable is pressing against the GPU, it could be causing damage. Understanding its behavior is tricky without more details.

It shouldn't damage the insulation.

A correctly functioning computer stays well below temperatures that could damage its protective layers.
