I made a mistake!
Scary title aside, Hi. I managed to corrupt my SSD (Boot drive ) and then I tried to use the Asus SSD Secure Erase feature, which then put it into Frozen Status Now I dont know how to unfreeze it, tried the unplugging ssd power and replugging method, but nah. WHAT DO I DO?
Power on the bootable USB and install the desired operating system.
Check for SSD info in the BIOS and see what comes up, if nothing useful, consider reinstalling Windows. As mentioned by the FBI.
It's because it's frozen, so it isn't listed in the boot choices—just my USB. I'll attempt it again tomorrow using a Windows 11 USB drive and will update afterward.
Is there another system you can use to install Windows, even briefly? https://rog-forum.asus.com/t5/other-moth...d-p/491340 A participant found a way to reset their BIOS to Legacy and restore the SSD. https://forums.
Is the motherboard compatible with hot-swappable SATA connections? If yes, you should be able to connect it once the system boots from the flash drive.
