Hello, I see the confusion. I had some problems with my graphics card causing lines on the screen. I thought cleaning it or replacing it might help, but then I accidentally removed the PCI slot with minimal effort. Could you confirm if the motherboard itself is damaged? Thanks in advance!

Are there any damaged parts? It seems like the plastic or metal might be cracked or worn, and from the photo it looks like you could simply slide the cover back over the pins.

Thanks for the comment. There is one pin which is attached to plastic slot and there are a few bent connectors but I could put them in place.

Could you share more details about your setup and the situation? That way I can assess the risk accurately.

A misaligned power pin might inject voltage into unintended areas and cause harm, yes. If you're using a low-cost card, it's wise to test it first or ensure every pin is correctly positioned.

Besides the two pins lodged in the plastic, there might be other issues preventing proper installation.

After removing the pins, I’d abandon it. It’s time for a fresh motherboard, maybe even a GPU—this seems like GPU artifacting.
