Remove all components from the case and place the motherboard on top of the original packaging or a wooden/plastic test stand. Keep it away from liquids or metal objects. Reassemble and connect everything properly. Connect the power supply unit, ensuring all additional power connectors are secured. Verify that heatsinks are properly positioned. Attach your monitor and keyboard. Start up in this configuration. If you have an LED POST code or a "PC Speaker" module for diagnostic beeps, you won’t need to connect anything to the video card—some systems even work without it. The board should include an onboard power button. For very inexpensive boards lacking one, you may need to short the power jumper block with a screwdriver carefully, avoiding contact with other parts. Without any drives, it should display the BIOS screen and allow access. If it remains unresponsive, check for grounding problems. If issues persist, it likely indicates a damage from static electricity or accidental impact.
