I lost the excitement.
The excitement has been growing steadily. I appreciate the design process, especially with new ship and universe details released each month. As they refine the specifics, I’m getting more engaged. Last year centered on core systems and mechanics, making this year particularly promising as those ideas come to life. I’ve always valued the game development journey as much as the final product. P.S. I was really let down when the DOOM demo never made it public.
I agree with rentaspoon. You don't need hype or expectation, just see the modules as they compare them to what elsr is out there. Just comparing the mechanics makes my pledge worth it for me. The ones that are rightfully anxious are the merchants and explorers, so all I can say is hold on and see what gets brought out.
I can mention that I'm quite excited, but if it doesn't work on Linux by default I'll be really upset.
