I planned a bit of a system refresh a while ago, aiming to replace my old SSD with a new one. Since my goal was to replace the HDD eventually, I decided to enjoy the process. I downloaded and set up the Windows 10 preview (I can share a detailed review if you're interested). After switching to the fresh OS, it replaced my previous Windows 7 setup without any issues. Now, when trying to boot from the old SSD, I can't reach Windows 10 for accessing files or moving them. I attempted using F12 to enter boot options but couldn't get past the HDD automatically. It just restarts back to Windows 7 at a speed I find impressive. My main need is to be able to access the old Windows 10 OS so I can transfer files and prepare for a full HDD wipe. Anyone have any advice on how to resolve this? Thanks ahead of time.

You can insert the old hard drive into SATA port 0, ensuring it becomes the primary boot option (check the manual first).

It doesn't appear in the Windows 7 setup wizard when installing on the SSD using your computer.

The system should display a `windows.old` folder at the root of your C drive.
