I’m really counting on it to be solid since AMD seems just as lazy as Intel used to be during their big push. But taking HT out doesn’t build trust: 1. Improved power use 2. Consistent performance 3. Strong gains in speed similar to Rocket Lake — that’s alder lake 4. A functional iGPU

Performance gains will vary; I usually base comparisons on IPC, which should outperform Raptor Lake there. At higher speeds or loads, the picture becomes more complex due to clock and power considerations. AMD is likely to maintain an edge in AVX-512 since Intel still lacks robust client support. That would be a significant misstep from their perspective. Personally, I’m less concerned about high clock rates. They might boost MT performance slightly but could hurt lower-thread efficiency. It seems Intel only requires a 20% performance boost, comparable pricing, and the ability to operate at full capacity without liquid cooling to defeat Zen 5.
