You just finished your build after years of working with prebuilt systems. You've built computers for friends and disassembled many devices. I'm confident in my tech knowledge, so completing the build was straightforward—except for a few small problems. After fixing them, I installed the Windows 11 boot drive and got in. Now the main hurdle is setting up Windows 11; the setup wizard says "Ethernet: Not connected." I have Ethernet connected, but it's not showing up. I've checked the driver and everything else, but nothing appears on the Wi-Fi section.

Ensure your chipset drivers are installed before proceeding, as this step isn't possible initially with Windows 11

The reason isn't clear; it didn't appear in my search results.

None of these options succeeded; both appear to have been updated.

Check if a refund for Windows 11 is possible across any platform. If yes, proceed and obtain Windows 10 instead.

Get the ISO from Microsoft, create a bootable USB using Rufus, and when prompted, choose to skip everything. This will set up a default local account without further steps.

Same key functions across Windows 10 and 11, no reverse tried. While setting up Windows 11, when you hit the Internet section, press Shift and F10 together. This launches a command prompt with OOBE bypass enabled. The setup restarts quickly without a full reboot, but internet access is disabled.
