Hello, I recently chose to overclock my i5 2500k and experimented with it for a few days. Then one day it wouldn't start up. I reset the BIOS and tried again. The next day I turned on my PC and started playing games, but they were only at a playable FPS. PLEASE HELP!!!

Attempt to reset the CMOS by removing the battery from the motherboard for a few seconds, then reinstalling it.

Hello
So I recently tried to overclock my i5 2500k for a few days, but then one day it wouldn’t start up. I reset the BIOS and everything. The next day I turned on my PC and started playing games, but they were barely at playable FPS.
PLEASE HELP!!!

Hey, when you play games, turn on HWmonitor, check GPU or CPU speeds, ensure both are at least stock frequency, and temperatures are under the threshold. This issue might be due to a GPU and BIOS reset not resetting the GPU overclock properly. So make sure your GPU overclock is stable or try resetting it back to stock. If you’re okay with it, please share a screenshot of the GPU and CPU speeds/temperatures/usage while playing any game.

Hello,
recently I tried to increase the clock speed of my i5 2500k for a few days. Then one day it wouldn't start up, so I reset the BIOS and other settings. The next day I turned on my PC and started playing games, but they were only at a playable FPS.
Could you help?
Please try running HWmonitor while playing, checking GPU or CPU speeds, and ensuring both have at least their stock frequency with temperatures below the limit.
This issue might be due to a GPU and BIOS reset not fixing the GPU overclock properly. Make sure your GPU overclock is stable or attempt to reset it back to stock. If you share a screenshot of the GPU and CPU speeds/temperatures during gameplay, that would be great.
I also overclocked my CPU, not the GPU.
