My computer runs with a GeForce GTX 1660, a Ryzen 7 2700, a 1TB hard drive, and 8GB of RAM. It struggles to play games at medium to low settings, and sometimes the FPS fluctuates significantly.

temperatures and usage on the cpu/gpu while playing? only hdd available, performance varies by game. consider upgrading to an ssd if needed. ram capacity is 8gb, either one stick or two. speed details for that. motherboard and psi information are also required.

Playing at high ultra settings greatly improves game performance, but the code is poorly designed and not optimized for Windows.

Not to come across as rude, but the 1660 performs poorly even with cards that are twice or three times more expensive. The issue really depends on the specific games you're playing and the settings you're using. Could you clarify which games you're referring to and what resolution you're working with? Also, what are the current temperatures and load conditions?
