I have some questions about my overclocked PC...
Hi everyone, I overclocked my CPU using some guidance from this video:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MckeAmnD...1FdDU.dpuf
My setup:
Case: XFX Type 01
PS: Xfx PRO 850w Bronze
Motherboard: ASUS M5A99X EVO R2.0
CPU: FX-8 CORE VISHERA 8370
CPU cooler: Hyper Plus 212 Evo
GPU: VGA SAPPHIRE R9 285 DDR5 OC 256B HDMI/DVI-I (11235-06-20G)
RAM: DDR3 1866 MHZ (4GB KINGSTON HYPERX SAVAGE CL9 (X4) total)
Storage 1: Scandisk Ultra II 120GB
Storage 2: Western Digital Wd 1TB Sata 3 64MB Caviar Black
I’ll share some photos of my CPU and memory before and after the overclock.

So I have a few questions:
My temperature rose from 32° (full load) to 50° (full load), which is an increase of 20° from 4.0 to 4.6Ghz. That seems fine? I also increased the voltage by 0.250V to achieve the extra 600Ghz. (I’m not sure if I could push higher frequencies with that voltage) With 4.6Ghz I don’t expect a big temperature rise. I also changed the CPU bus from 200 to 230.
For RAM, the frequency jumped from 936.5 to 1076.8Mhz... The base frequency went from 2214.8 to 2538.5Mhz... But I’m not sure if those numbers are optimal, since my latency increased from CL9 to CL11. Other clocks also changed: tRP 11>13, tRAS 27>35. Are these acceptable? Or should I stick with 936.5Mhz and CL9?
I ran a stress test with Prime95 for an hour and it completed without issues.
Then I tested with Heaven, and the FPS dropped from '8 MIN' to '21 MIN'.
What do you think? What improvements could I make?
Thanks a lot!
