Budget and purchasing location:
Approximately 5000 Moroccan dirhams (mad) is the usual amount, though a special offer could raise it to around 8000 mad. (1$ equals about 8.92 mad).
I’m not confident these laptops I received are worth the price, so I’m also willing to consider other options. I used the question form on r/Suggestalaptop to clarify my requirements.
What type of laptop do you prefer? A 2-in-1 design, long battery life, or top specifications for value? Please mention any that fit.
For me, the best specs are most important, and the battery performance is also crucial. I don’t mind a 2-in-1 form factor.
What matters most to you is weight and slimness—just a little appreciated.
Which operating system do you need? Windows, Mac, Chrome OS, Linux.
Windows 10 is fine as long as I already own one; it doesn’t matter if it comes with the device.
Do you have a preferred screen size? If unsure, say N/A.
Size is flexible, but screen quality is more important than exact dimensions.
Are you working on CAD, video editing, photo editing, or gaming? List the software or games you’d like to use.
Web development, watching movies and TV shows are your main activities—otherwise it’s minimal.
If you’re a gamer, which titles do you want to play? What FPS and settings are ideal?
I already own a desktop for gaming; it’s not a priority.
Do you have any specific needs like a good keyboard, durable build, touch screen, fingerprint reader, or optical drive?
A solid keyboard and fingerprint recognition would be nice but aren’t essential. The same applies to all other points.
Feel free to add any final thoughts that could help the discussion.
I’m open to suggestions, including used or refurbished models. As the title suggests, I can purchase from Amazon, but import costs are roughly 23% of the price. Including shipping (about $50–$80) gives a clearer picture of the total cost. Prioritize the laptops listed below because of the seller’s proximity and my trust based on past interactions. However, if it’s not a good deal, that’s fine too.
Here’s the list the seller sent me:
- hp 450 g2 (used): i5 5th, 8GB RAM, 128 SSD, 3100 mad
- dell E7470 (used): i5 6th, 8GB RAM, 256 SSD, 3800 mad
- hp 15 (used): i5 7th, 8GB RAM, 750 HDD, 4300 mad
- lenovo L440 (used): i3 4th, 8GB RAM, 128 SSD, 2700 mad
- hp 430 g2 (used): i5 4th, 4GB RAM, 128 SSD, 2700 mad
- lenovo E540 (used): i5 4th, 16GB RAM, 256 SSD, 1600 mad
- infinity i5 4th: 8GB RAM, 128 SSD, 3500 mad

Obviously, the HP 15 will be the quickest due to its CPU performance, but because it includes a hard drive, it won't match the E7470's experience with its SSD. Based on these needs, choose the one you prefer most. Test the keyboards firsthand and examine the displays.

CPU's and GPU's can't be upgraded, so use what you have. HDDs can be replaced with SSDs, and RAM can be upgraded for better performance. Therefore, go with the HP 15 because it has the best CPU. If you can afford it, upgrade the HDD to an SSD.

- Lenovo E540 (used):
i5 4th generation
16g ram
256 ssd
invidia 2g diii
4000 mad
128gb is a bit too limited for a C drive, 256gb would be better.
HDD isn't a big concern.
8gb ram might be insufficient. Usually, an upgrade wouldn't be necessary.
Processor speed is sufficient; the SSD really speeds things up.
Lenovo keyboards are typically reliable.
HP often uses exclusive components. Over time, a replacement battery might be needed.
