I have questions about RAM.
Hello, I recently assembled my new PC in January. It features a 5600x motherboard with a B550 MB motherboard, 16GB of 3200Mhz RAM (Team Group VulcanZ). A few days ago I purchased another unit identical to this one, bringing my total RAM up to 4x8GB. Using CPU-Z, I observed that two of the RAM modules are from SK Hynix and the other two from Micron. Could this impact my system performance? Is there any concern with that configuration?
Mixing RAM in this way isn't advised as it may cause problems. You can't be sure you won't encounter issues, but you might face them during booting or when using XMP. If XMP is functioning now, don't be concerned, but if it fails, that's likely the cause.
