I purchased a 2-year-old NZXT Kraken X63 for less than $50. The issue I face is controlling the bottom fan. In the NZXT CAM it doesn’t adjust the top fan, they don’t spin as intended. In BIOS and Fan Control I can manage the top fan but not the bottom one. I’m unsure how to fix this since the two fans are wired together. Regarding temperature readings, with a Ryzen 5 5600X and this cooler, I see temperatures above 30°C during idle and over 60°C after booting—even with PBO2 enabled at -19. I have a Corsair 220T RGB case. During setup a screw broke, could this be the cause? Lastly, can I safely boost to 4.6 GHz at idle (about 60% of the time)? Thanks if you help!
It could be problematic if it's a used AIO. Those seem reasonable. You mentioned the case is tricky to fit on top—maybe not the best setup. As long as it doesn’t cause thermal throttling, it’s okay. Your CPU should handle things better with lighter background work.
For the block, this could lead to weak connections and inconsistent temperatures. It's better to look for a different screw.
I don’t recognize their names, but they’re connected separately in two next-to-adjacent headers. There’s no problem with the pump, though it’s linked to the AIO_PUMP. This seems odd since Fan Control doesn’t display the bottom fan. Also, I wasn’t aware I needed a NZXT controller for CAM—thanks for the tip.
It appears the lower fan remains unchanged even when adjusting the top fan to maximum.
