Hey! I had to swap out my motherboard because it stopped working. Now with the new one, if XMP is turned on my PC shuts down randomly during games. It works fine when I disable XMP. It only happens while playing; idle or browsing doesn’t cause issues. I’m not sure if it’s due to RAM since it worked before. The problem started the moment I replaced the board. I’ve updated the BIOS already, but I’m not sure what to do next. Apologies for the poor English—I’m from South America. Thanks in advance!

Reset CMOS, then reapply XMP settings. Test switching between profile 1 and 2. Ensure Auto OC is disabled, as some boards treat it as conflicting with XMP.

What’s the CAS value for that RAM? There’s often confusion about companies boosting performance by increasing the CAS latency. In reality, there are multiple CAS numbers to consider. For example, a 3600MHz CAS16 chip might actually be 16-16-16-25, which is slower than expected. You might need higher-speed RAM or tune your system to match its capabilities—likely not as fast. Typical options are around 3200 or 3000 MHz. Many so-called good deals didn’t deliver the promised speed.
