I chose to connect a USB-C into a USB-A port. After switching devices and using an adapter for WiFi, everything stopped working. I tried various USB-A ports until it functioned properly. Then I noticed a list of USB devices drawing excessive power, which likely exceeded their capacity. When I switched to another device, it worked fine. However, the WiFi adapter failed completely. It’s unclear what caused this issue.

Disconnect every USB device you no longer need. Power down the PC and let it rest for a few minutes. Re-enable it then. Gradually connect the previously functioning USB devices from earlier. There’s a chance you might have disturbed something related to the USB C.
