I got drunk on a drink and it hurt to clean up.
I spilled some beer on my two Acer laptops (about 30% alcohol) a little bit ago, maybe half a liter or so. I took them apart quickly to get rid of the mess and put them back together after drying them off with a fan. My battery is still stuck tight inside the laptop because it won't come out. The motherboard looks clean now that I've checked it twice. After power cycling it for two hours, everything worked perfectly again. Now I'm just waiting to see if it stays fixed or if something bad happened. What should I do next? How long do I wait? And what are my odds of success?
Hello new friend! If you haven't already taken it apart until you see the main body of the laptop, wash everything off with rubbing alcohol in a spray bottle and let it dry completely on its own first. Just remember to take the battery out when you're taking things apart.
