I got a new RAM, but my computer won’t let me upload.
It functions properly with my previous RAM, but overclocking fails when I switch to my current RAM after using the new one. After resetting CMOS, changing slots, and running with a single stick, no success has been achieved. I've also used MemOK multiple times without results. Updating the BIOS hasn't helped either. Despite fixing my CPU overclocking issue, it only works when paired with my old RAM. The DRAM indicator seems to alternate between CPU and RAM lights, but it's inconsistent—sometimes on, sometimes off—and I still can't get a post.
Welcome to the forums. It seems the new memory isn't working. Replace the old memory and reset your BIOS settings to the default configuration before attempting again. Ensure XMP/DOCP is turned off, and then try once more. If previous overclock or XMP configurations remain active, they may still lead to problems with the new memory.
DOCP serves as AMD's version of XMP, meaning it exists only on Intel platforms. When BIOS defaults and the RAM shows a debug LED without responding, it’s probably unsupported memory. This could indicate a faulty component or an incompatible speed/kit with the motherboard.
