The setup includes a Ryzen 5 3600, 16 GB RAM, DDR4 at 3000mhz, RX 6600XT, 8 GB VRAM, Corsair 650W power supply (80+ Bronze). I’m experiencing frequent FPS drops and stutters, especially in Overwatch. My monitor freezes occasionally with as low as 30 FPS. This happens sometimes but affects other games too.

Current background processes and memory usage are being checked. RAM consumption is being analyzed. If you're on a traditional hard drive, potential performance concerns may exist.

Are you considering a recent PC purchase or have you been using this machine for some time? If it's new, reach out to the seller to find out what's happening. Was this problem previously unresolved? If you've had issues before and now it's different, something might be changing. Have you looked in Task Manager to identify resource-heavy processes? When did you last update your drivers? Recent game patches could need updated GPU drivers. Have you monitored hardware temperatures recently? Cleaning the dust from the computer might help if it's been sitting around. To test temperatures, try the ZIP version of HWmonitor—just extract and run it. If you've overclocked the CPU or GPU, reset to default settings and reattempt the game. Success suggests your hardware is aging and needs recalibration. If RAM supports XMP/EXPO, ensure it's enabled in the BIOS.

I frequently review Windows, driver updates, and hardware status. However, the temperature hasn’t been checked yet. Perhaps I’ll attempt that. I maintain my PC cleaning routine once a month.

Long pauses often stem from several factors. CPU usage might be high, though your hardware probably handles it well. HDD performance can restrict frame rates regardless of game type or Windows version. RAM usage over 90% with 16GB suggests frequent swapping, which isn't certain but depends on background processes. Thermal throttling is possible, and malware is unlikely to cause such issues.
