This Netgear router comes from a telecom supplier, which explains the design choices. The front USB port is black and supports USB 2, which works fine for me. The rear port is also USB 2 but features a blue marking suggesting it's intended for USB 3. According to the specifications, it should be two USB 2 ports. The presence of both eCos and Linux UARTs indicates some advanced functionality. I’ve noticed that the router includes Broadcom components, possibly built on an Intel Puma chipset. It’s odd how they label these ports—blue for USB 3 even though the spec says USB 2. While it’s not ideal, it seems like a design decision rather than a mistake.
