I discovered a used Asus ex-b365m-v5 motherboard, but I’m unsure if it’s worth buying. There are other options available, yet they’re hard to find at a low price. For example, the H310 is also rarely cheap. I want to learn how to assess whether this board is good quality.

It's hard to know for sure until you buy and set it up.

Here’s the system you’re designing. For trading or reselling, there’s no standard approach I’m aware of—please clarify your needs.

First verify the seller. If it looks suspicious, it's best to step back and look for a new option.

Do you have the correct board in mind? The model you mentioned is EX-B365M-V5 from ASUS. It seems like a simple build with limited power delivery.

Start by examining the top surfaces of the capacitors; they should remain flat without any doming. Check for bent pins or scratch marks near the screw holes, particularly around the CPU cooler mount area—those indicate prior monkey use. Assess the level of cleaning, noting that it’s likely reasonably clean if it was stored in a well-filtered case. This is essentially all you can do before testing it.
