I've begun using Tanks and iFVs and I really enjoy them on large maps. Golmud Railway is my preferred map for tank gameplay. Today I played Golmud in Tank for the first time and achieved a 21-3 score with 22,000 conquest points. I was the gunner, maintained the vehicle, and easily eliminated infantry using Thermal Optics. Even though it isn't the top choice for precision shooting, it's the best for spotting infantry, which is exactly what a gunner does.
I play bf4 very often, I too like driving Tanks and LAV. Taking down air vehicles with a skilled tank shot is always satisfying. With the LAV is like to use the SOFLAM (guided missile) .The gunner lock on the target, and any guided missile can lock on to it. for exemple, if you drive the LAV with your engineer friends equiped with Javelin, they can exit the LAV once the gunner lock on a vehicle, and watch the 3-4 missiles fly to said target. its beautiful teamplay. imo.
