I've been using AVG before, but it often caused issues with my system. Now I rely on Microsoft Security Essentials, AVG, and Malware AntiBytes for better protection. I focus on downloading only necessary files, and the security features seem to work well.

On Windows I rely on the built-in Essentials, while on Mac I use Avira. Note that most malware originates from ads, so adblock helps a lot. My antivirus doesn’t need much effort, and I always keep Malwarebytes handy for Windows issues.
