I've used Macs for years, but after this latest update both of my computers (the one with only Blender installed) are experiencing strange problems. The system folder is slowly using up all my storage, which is especially concerning since I only have 128GB. The big light gray bar represents the system folder.

I searched for the app but couldn't locate it. I installed a different cleaner I bought earlier and cleaned around 7GB. I hope macOS is more open about these processes since I’m used to trying risky fixes and using the terminal. Also, since I began this post, macOS has used another 20GB of space. After deleting my final cut library, the system folder now shows up as 40GB and appears as documents. I believed macOS is meant for people who avoid such troubles.

Nothing is flawless, but I haven’t faced the problem you’re dealing with. I did encounter an issue where my iMac, MacBook, iPhone, and PC iCloud app all kept saving everything from iCloud to my local hard drive on every machine, except the phone. This also occurred after an update. I had to change my settings so iCloud files wouldn’t auto-download to my local drive. “Just keep it in the cloud until I tell you otherwise, okay?” Perhaps this could assist you too.
