I understand this might seem a bit confusing. Could you let me know where the power switch pins are located on the MSI PRO B660M-A WIFI DDR4 Micro ATX LGA1700 motherboard? I’ve searched online but it’s hard to find clear info. Your reference images might help if you share them.

Refer to page 15 in your motherboard manual under "JFP1, JFP2: Front Panel Connectors" for pin locations. The provided link details the connector positions: https://download.msi.com/archive/mnu_exe...00x150.pdf

I used the screwdriver in button fashion, but it didn’t work on those pins. It’s possible I made a mistake, though I’m not sure.

Should it have been shorted the right pins?

Ensure power cables are properly connected and check if the PSU is working correctly. Use a suitable conductor for any materials you're connecting.

I'm not connecting the ends of alligator clips, but you can still verify your PSU's condition. Try a different connection method or test with another power source to see if the issue persists.

You can use a bent paperclip or similar to short pins 4 and 5 on a PSU for manual startup. Many PSUs include female connectors for this purpose as well. The motherboard maintains those connections once startup begins, ensuring the unit stays powered.

I completely missed plugging in the motherboard. Don’t forget that! Laugh all you want.
