I turned this feature off six months ago but I’m not sure what it’s named. It seems tricky to describe, and I’m worried about explaining it. Imagine four explorer boxes on your desktop—maybe a photo in a resized window. None of them are active; you have to click on them to make the title bar or box appear. This tool is meant so you don’t have to click, just hover your mouse over one and it shows its status (active or awake) with the theme color. It’s really hard to put into words, but I hope someone gets it. Arrggh.
