Curious about how many have purchased titles but avoid playing because of optimization issues. Focus on FPS freezes, crashes, glitches, slow performance, etc. Not about games that are terrible overall, just technical problems that stop play. Examples: Need for Speed Rivals (FPS lock), Watch Dogs (still runs poorly and crashes often), Dead Rising 3 (runs badly unlocked and frequently crashes).

I don’t back games with these development choices. In fact, the only title I currently have that runs smoothly is Empire: Total War, and I still can’t explain why. Skyrim also has some problems, but that’s my responsibility. Much of the main content is missing because of NMM.

watch_dogs behaves strangely on my machine—it’s like it’s running on garbage. I didn’t buy that game, so it’s probably not worth my time anymore.

I support the Watch Dogs and Need for Speed Rivals comments. I enjoy launching Half Life 2 without any issues. A game that functions well even years later, while many modern titles struggle to hit 60 FPS.

Robocraft often freezes, but I still find it fun to play. I really enjoyed playing Wow vanilla despite its numerous issues. However, achieving 30 frames per second without G-Sync could cause me to quit the game or even avoid buying it altogether.

I don't usually purchase those titles, though there are some exceptions. The games that have been most challenging lately are older ones where many bugs can be patched. Alice, Madness is stuck at 30fps; fixing the frame rate messes with the physics. It's still functional (except for one puzzle). Bioshock 1 and 2 took a long time to get going—spent half an hour tweaking config files and audio settings before Bioshock 1 worked, while 2 was manageable but still bothersome. Devil May Cry 3 isn't as bad as expected. It has Xbox 360 controller issues (works great on PS4), and you need a custom .exe to run at your screen size; otherwise it's fine. Beyong Good and Evil required some registry tweaks and unclear settings, but it was quick and runs well. Metal Gear Rising Revengeance had in-game audio problems that forced driver fixes, but performance is solid now. I stopped playing Battlefield 4 because of visual artifacts for a few months, but both games have mostly resolved their main issues and are playable again.

Lego Batman 2... had to admit it. It was the sole title I abandoned after frequent crashes. I also used to play Battlefield 4, but the banding made me frustrated.

Not many really, watch dogs is one, need for speed has a fix. I have been playing evil within the last few days even though I can unlock the frame rate I havent because the stutter is worse, I have mod fixes from flawless widescreen and fov, it would be unbareable otherwise and I see why it would get bad reviews not modded. It's a great game, it's just a terrible port. Oh and I meant to try FF XIII but that was the worst port I have ever heard of, they didn't even have the decency to let you change resolution. That is completely unacceptable.

It's common that around 8350 players enjoy RTS titles. These games often depend heavily on IPC mechanics.

DayZ is tough even with a 290, struggling to maintain around 45fps on medium or high settings. The "BattleEye initialization failed" message keeps appearing after updates, which rarely happens.
