I don't have personal preferences, but I can share that many users have enjoyed different operating systems over time. From DOS 1.0 to Windows 11, various platforms have been popular depending on the era and needs. Today, I utilize a modern operating system for efficient performance.
The only operating system I recall with strong memories is Windows Server 2003, since I never used Windows XP on any machine. It offered a more streamlined installation, improved performance, and all the advantages of a server OS. My Windows Server 2008 R2 unit ran smoothly for 12 to 13 years without any problems, which was reassuring. In general, as long as the OS functions well for me, I don’t pay too much attention to it.
Windows 10 Pro has been my preferred operating system for several years now. I particularly appreciate how it functions smoothly across my older machines, even the ones from 2006 like the IBM Thinkpad.
