Drivers were placed correctly, and I obtained them from the manufacturer's site—specifically from the Windows 10 area. Sound output is functioning properly. The rear and front headphone connections are still not working.

Do you have headphone outputs? If they work, you’ll hear through them; if not, recording or using a mic won’t be possible.

I'm having trouble connecting my microphone to either the rear or front input. It works fine when plugged in, but sounds terrible during recording or chatting. A friend with an ASRock X79 Extreme 6 (my Extreme9) reported the same problem on forums, and their mic uses a Realtek soundcard. Could the chipset and Windows 10 be causing compatibility issues?
