Asus Z390-A motherboard bought in 2019. Operating system is openSuse Tumbleweed. PC starts but doesn’t emit a beep. All fans are active. Board lights function properly. Power supply was replaced recently. No graphics or sound cards installed. OS uses NVME SSD. Tested Live USB and rescue disk, but the machine fails to boot into UEFI. Please offer any advice on possible issues [positive or negative].

Unable to access BIOS, only a black screen appears.
Attempted pressing DEL at startup with no success.
Tried hitting f2 during startup, also no response.
Removed the OS hard drive (SSD) and restarted, but nothing changed.
Inserted an OS USB setup or live USB, but they weren’t detected.
Reset BIOS by removing the CMOS battery for 5 minutes (hold ON button for 30 seconds).
Received a screen prompting to press f1 for reset/repair. Pressing f1 still resulted in a black screen.
Another monitor worked the same way.
Any suggestions on how to access the BIOS?
This PC has no critical components that can’t be replaced.

I managed to enter recovery mode and started from an openSuse install USB. The installation completed, but I'm still unable to reach the BIOS settings.

sorry, that link was incorrect. When you reach advanced options, select UEFI firmware settings. after restarting, the BIOS should appear next.
Well, when I replied, you had two different subjects. I was inquiring about the Asus Z390-A build. Now, the mod has combined both topics into one, which makes it hard to identify which build we're discussing. Regarding your Asus Prime H370M-Plus, your motherboard has a PS/2 port. Look for (or obtain) a PS/2 KB and connect it to the motherboard's PS/2 port. When turning it on, press the Del key. Check if you can access the BIOS. If possible, it might be that during POST, the USB KB won't function. I've experienced this issue with an older build using a Z97 chipset motherboard.
