Hi there, after the BIOS update the system won’t start. I can’t access the BIOS to make changes. My motherboard is an MSI Z170 PC MATE, and the Debug LED shows the CPU is not detected or failed, while DRAM is also not detected. (but a fresh BIOS can’t fix both CPU and RAM issues...) I’ve removed everything except the CPU and RAM, but the red lights turn on whenever the board powers up. (This doesn’t match any guidance I found online.) Do you know what’s going on, or is this forcing a new motherboard? Any suggestions would be appreciated!

This occurred following a BIOS update, everything was working before. Now I’m unable to boot into BIOS or anything like that. I don’t see any visual artifacts, but the system now only has an i5 Skylake and Kingston RAM installed.

You need additional details. Check the motherboard, your old BIOS version, the new one, and whether it affects certain features. Even though it’s unlikely, it should be reviewed. Without this info, it’s hard to provide assistance.

That's what I was worried about, because the system is offline and I can't retrieve related data. Thanks anyway.

Extract the details from each part using their associated tags and identifiers.
