Since April 23rd, I've been pondering how to take a single die from the Pentium G3260 I posted earlier. I kept sanding it, but ended up over-sanding, leaving only a dull copper base beneath the actual die. Yet when I tried the proper technique on a G3220, some silicon patches still stuck. That’s how far sandpaper could go, though. Still, I wanted to share that I disproved my own idea and show what I achieved.

It handles anything below 10,000 grits quite well, and it's really interesting in any caseSmile

It's unusual to have handled a die yourself before. I only used a mallet to hit it until it broke open. The tricky part wasn't breaking it, but capturing a clear picture. I haven't seen a die this large before—fascinating!
