yes, it's still in the library but that prevents me from reviving the activation. it also stops me from installing ms home and student. when i click on it, it just takes me to office 365 online, which is really annoying.

Here’s a detailed explanation of what you mean by "not allowing you," along with relevant screenshots. Please note that no images are included in this response.

It was set up as an office home and student setup but it wasn't a trial. It wasn't Office 365. Yes, it's not, but it doesn't make sense. When someone tries to do something like install Office, they're usually taken to the Office Online tab where they see no subscription available (unless they bought the recommended version and linked it). Still, it should automatically sync regardless of the version used.

this was released recently. the 365 edition is currently only accessible via an online subscription, as far as I understand. if you previously had a home & student edition installed, you would need a link from the manufacturer to reinstall this activated original equipment manufacturer version.

That's correct, I was a bit confused because after the fresh install of Windows 10, my computer was really problematic. I was using Windows from Windows 98, and I have to admit, Windows 7 was the best I've ever had... I asked for the factory reset file from the manufacturer, and they gave me exactly what I needed. Now I just have to follow the necessary steps. All this happened because I accidentally used the "clean junk" option in Avira antivirus, which might have damaged or deleted my system files, causing issues with Windows Update, SFC, and DISM. I tried everything to prevent a clean installation, but nothing worked. It's frustrating :-( Thank you all for your help and suggestions, it really made a difference.
